Explanation of fields

Reporter – Is not necessarily a person who created or reported a ticket. A Ticket Admin can create tickets with any user as Reporter or modify Reporter on existing tickets. Reporter is a person who is responsible for testing, returning the ticket to a developer if it needs more work, or closing the ticket if testing is successful.

Owner – a person responsible for implementation / development. Usually tickets are assigned to developers, but can be assigned to testers if no development is required.

CC – Users that may be interested in receiving emails regarding ticket updates. This could be a person who is responsible for documentation, or an alternative tester, if required. Do not add people to the CC field if you are unsure, as this may unnecessarily spam people with emails from Trac.
